Hey Projekt107 welcome to the board!!! Don't it isn't hs complicated as you think it is.

First off what kind of bulb do you have in your tank right now??? Is it short stubby and pear shaped or is it long and thin?? Do you know how long it is in in.??

If it is short and pear shaped it is incadescent and will not be good. However if it is long and skinny it is probably a normal flourescent bulb.

PC means power compact. They are a great type of lighting to use if you need high intensity over a small area.
PC's look like a long thin 0.

YOu should probably have your lights on for around 8-10 hours.

Feel free to ask anymore questions or tell me if I left anything out.
