From Emporia; spent a lot of time in Wichita many years back; and currently live in a suburb of KC...the drive between Wichita and Emporia was too boring!

Pet World of Newton is where I work and we carry 50-60 different types of plants. If you want to do a planted tank we are the place to go hands down as we don't keep fish with our plants. The tanks are specifically for plants.

316-283-8400 is the shop number. We are also thinking about putting in a co2 refill station

Reviving this thread...

I am just South of Newton. Petworld is good, but the Petworld in ICT (same shopping center where Fins and Feathers was) is better. Tad took over that one and all of the planted tank knowledge is there with him. They occasionally get in some shrimp as well.

Newton is fine for picking up necessaries. I did get a clump of dwarf sag there and it is doing well.

Black Pearl is good, if you can be there when the store is open. I have been able to go inside once out of 3 tries, I have learned to call first before I go!

New user and I live in wichita. I have a 125 gal that is semi planted. Hoping to get it looking good again this summer.
