Algae Grower
|
Hello,
I've got a case of green spotted algae on my plants. It's a 46gal and I think I've got the source under control but I'm looking at adding some workers to help clean up the mess. Right now, I've got 5 ottos (I know that's not enough), 3 SAEs (who are getting lazy and eating food) and a common pleco (who did a REALLY good job on the brown algae). Question is... Can anything (fish or shrimp) clean the spots on the plants? It's that hard green spotted algae. Thanks!

Chaetostoma cf. thomsoni (it's labeled on the album cover's caption). Those are old pics; here are some better ones (easy to see how they got their common name of 'rubbernose pleco'):

2la, I've been meaning to tell you for awhile now... you take great pics! What's your camera setup?
Also o/t, what's that plant in the linked pic?

I have both, no problems with them getting along.
Glad Tula chimed in. I tried to find the link to that photo album before I posted, unsuccessfully.

My older photos were taken with a Sony DSC-P1. I may also have some photos from a DSC-P92 and a DSC-F707. My newer stuff is predominantly from a DSC-F717. The plant in the picture is Anubias barter var. nana. |
