Question

Gutting a satellite light fixture

I am thinking of gutting my satellite light fixture, which house 2 dual bulbs, for the reflector is not the best. Also I have a undercounter light fixture under it where an actinic bulbs was. I would but the 2 bulbs in a plastic flower box, for the angle is similar to the 1 at ahsupply co. Is 24 inches long.

Has anyone ever done this or something similar to it? If so tell me about it, please.

It's easy to gut it...never retrofit the fixture into a flower box, though.

What size is the fixture?

The plastic flower box has a good angle. I used it previously with undercounter lights over my 29 G tank. Is this a bad idea because of the heat?

That seems like a better idea. Mine is 24". Let me know if it works.

Meanwhile I am trying strips of metal painted white on the outside and in the middle of the fixture.
