what to expect?

okay so i have read and seen many of you guys growing foreground plants emmersed and im really impressed with the results. I was wondering if anyone has tried to grow any other plants (swords, crips, annubas) in this same fashion? Im basically wondering about when the time comes to add water how much time will it take to adjust to its submersed form.

I believe Orlando grows emersed crypts.

I'm going to try some Lilaeopsis emerged with my next tank and see how quickly they fill in, and then adapt once the tank is filled. I may also put some emerged crypts in this tank, since that's going to be the theme (Asian) anyways...
