Anyone know where I can get CO2 tanks in Tampa? If you have bought any recently, could you please post the size and amount you paid for it. Thanks!

Have you checked the yellow pages for welding supply? Sorry I can't help. I use paintball tanks, gotten from Walmart.

Yep, most of the welding places places go like this: "What CO2 tank? We don't sell them. We weld metals" .... The cheapest place I could find was $105 for a filled CO2 tank from Tri-tech gas.

I called airgas and they told me that for residential, the cheapest 20lbs is $207. Thanks for the idea about the fire extinguisher place. I'll give those places a call and see what i can find. But is $105 filled for a 20lbs CO2 tank a good price?

Good luck! Fire Extinguisher stores usually will fill your tank while you wait...
If not pick up later....

Airgas is useless, they no longer fill co2 tanks. I went to Ace Welding Supply they sell 5lb used tanks for $100 and swap them out for a full one for $15 or $20 to fill it if you want to keep your current tank. I bought a nice shiny new tank online so I just filled it for $5 more instead of swapping it for a used one. :-P

I'm down in Sarasota and I got my first one at a welding shop because they just happened to have one sitting around. But for second one I found a bar supplier that has quite a few tanks. Try bar supply--they use CO2 tanks for kegs. I bought a 20lb used tank filled for $90.
