peacock gudgeons
im thinkin about gettin a pair of these fish to try and breed. i know to be successful id need a fry tank set up. i cant really find much info on how to set up a fry tank for these little guys though. i do have an old 15g tall tank (13w x 13l x 21t) that i could possibly use, but it doesn't seem like it would fit them well. i was under the impression that gudgeons stayed low in the tank which means i would have a little square of base for them and then 21 in of water they never swam in. is this true, or do they swim around a lot when they are fry?
what do i use as substrate? i have a little bit of flourite, a lot of pool filter sand, ad a lot of pea gravel layin around.
does the tank need plants? i was thinkin of adding just some java moss and some other low light plants
do they need "caves" to hide in like the adults?
thanks for the help
