I was wondering if using two diffusing ladders one on top of the other would be a lot more beneficial then using just one since the co2 has twice the time in the water. I was also wondering if using activated carbon at the bottom of 2 liter bottles would work good to prolong the solution if activated carbon were to remove some of the alcohol from the water keeping the yeast alive. If anyone could tell me if they know of anything that removes alcohol from water I would appreciate it.

What kind of diffusing ladder? The hagen? I don't know how you can do it unless you do some cutting and drilling.
There are so many debate whether or not the alcohol is the culprit that kills the yeast solution. I read this one method from the plantguild power reactor instruction. I tried it and it works wonder. Maybe you know this also. It asks me not to dissolve all the sugar in the bottle. After the CO2 production slow down, shake the bottle to dissolve the remaining sugar. I was surprised on how this method really work. The CO2 production is actually becoming strong again. My mixture can run about 23 days. I dissolve the first half of the sugar in the beginning and on the 11th or 12th days. One bottle produce 1 bubble every 3.5 second in the first 12 days and 1 bubble every 4 to 4.5 second until the 23rd day when I switch to new solution. |

That what I think also. Alcohol kills yeast. Couple people disagreed with me though on one of thread before in this forum
