i think for yellowing plants it would be an iron deficiency but i cant explain the rest of the problems, i does appear that you have hair algae or something that resembles it. IMO you have to much light over the tank for DIY co2 which could be casuing the algae along with inconsistant levels of CO2 that comes along with DIY. Besides that i cant explain anything else hope that helps

Josh

How are you diffusing it then?

And what size bottle of DIY are you using.

Try adding more yeast, that should give you a bit more c02 although it won't last as long.

As Josh stated, reduce your lighting.

This will decrease the demand on the CO2 and the Ferts and allow the tank to balance out. Also, what is your dosing routine and maintenance schedule?

do you dose both micros and macros? I would do what has been mentioned above.. cut your photo period down and your intensity of your lighting due to you having diy co2. I would save up and see what you can do for a pressurized co2. (obtaining one)

I dose dry ferts on monday wednesday and friday. seachem flourish comprehensive or plantex csm+b on tuesday thursday and saturday. sunday is a 50% wc and I dose iron.

another thing too.. your water temperature is way to high... you don't have discus... so bring it down to around 78 deg.
