So what did you do for Independence Day?

Like the title says, what did you do for the Forth of July? I had a BBQ with my family and then when I started hearing fireworks, I went to our nearby fairgrounds as there where stands that allowed you to see over our town, where I was able to see aerial shells and fireworks of all sorts being shot up into the night sky. I was really entertained seeing all of the different colors, I was even able to see some being set off in the next city. I went back home eventually and the only reason I went was because my mom said that she would not be back until 10, so apparently, I went back home at almost 11 so I missed our fireworks. Even though I missed our fireworks, I had a good night.

We bought 11 acres in the TN mountains a year and a half ago. Only got to spend a few hours here before we bought it and haven't had a chance to come back until now. We are building a new cabin up here and moving up. My wife and a friend and I came up and we're camping out. I also got a couple great pieces of driftwood from the TN River which is like 10 miles away. Just at the bottom of the mountain

We had BBQ then went to a park to watch the fireworks. Funny thing happened 5 min before the show. An older couple came and stand right in front of us. They were kinda blocking our view, so We asked them politely if they would like to share blanket and sit with us. They rejected our offer, so we told them that they were blocking our view. To our surprise, instead of being apologetic, the husband got angry with us. He said how could they blocked our view if the fireworks were on the sky. Just looked up he said. His wife was embarrassed and pulled him away. After the showed ended he passed by us, and gave us the dirtiest look ever.

Woaaaaa......... But overall we had a good time!

That don't sound like too much fun.

I watched a friends neighbor that just got his display permit blow up $12K worth of fireworks. I'm sorry but as cool as it was to watch I'm pretty sure I could find a million other things to spend 12 grand on. It was pretty impressive to see the time and thought that went into it but still a big waste of money.

Yes that is a lot but this was at this guys house in his front yard. One guy spent his hard earned money on fireworks just to impress his neighbors.

And he didn't even have the "good stuff". You know snakes and sparklers.
