Black lava rock?

Hey everyone. Does anybody know of a good source for black lava rock pieces in the chicago/west suburb area? The few LFS by me (oak park natural pet, tropiquatics) don't have it, and I've tried a few rock supply places but no luck.

There are plentyful when I visited Hawaii and I would think you should be able to order them online if you google it. Local Home Depot / Menards usually have the dark red lava rock which is not black black but still very dark and porous, if that is good enough for your purpose.

Yes I've seen the red variant around plenty. Im looking more for the black for the color aesthetic. Im trying to avoid buying them online, no way to know what shapes you get. Thanks for the suggestion tho!

I'm in the far northwest suburbs and the places I have found black lava rock are garden centers / plant nurseries that also carried landscape rock.
I bought a bag from this place ~3 years ago.

The pieces I bought were smaller gravel compared to the fist-sized red pieces I've seen.

I bought some at Aquatic Adventure in Bolingbrook about a month ago, if that helps and you are still looking.
