Girls and cars, what a thread, almost makes me wish I were younger.

Can we talk about keg parties next?

This stuff has fallen so far off my radar screen I don't even remember what I used to like to talk about. Stereos would have been the next logical step, you are right George, be Hubba's guest. It is his thread afterall.

Truth is, I don't know anything about stereos. I hear a lot of good things about BOSE but that's the extent of my knowledge.

ok there's the SONY QRIO

here's a link to it
http://www.sony.net/SonyInfo/QRIO/top_nf.html

There's also Honda's ASIMO:

http://world.honda.com/ASIMO/

and toyota made a new robot (doesn't have a name yet, but may i make a suggestion: The Hubba ) that can play the trumpet. right before his performance, he said, "I'm really nervous."

either one or all of these robots can recognize faces, walk up and down stairs, and throw balls among other impressive tasks...

Hey! What is wrong with Bose? I know I have been away from the electronics for a good 10 years. Care to fill me in on what I've missed?

Hubs: I've heard of Asimo and read about that before, but not the other two. I'll have to check the links later when I get home.

Rob: I've just never found Bose to be as good as every one seems to think it is, nor have I been too impressed by them. It's one of those things that sadly seems to happen quite a bit. A product is good at one point, and is well known for it. Then the product quality declines or doesn't improve with it's competitors, and people still relate the name with something good.

Bose has an increadible marketing department...that is why everyone THINKS they are the greatest speakers of all time. IMO, they are way over priced for what you get. Listen to them AND listed to the Energy Take 5.2 system and you make up your own mind (another small speaker system)

This should answer everythough you ever wanted to know about bose that bose doesn't want you to know:-D
