Hassler's 15G Journal.. 56K
Hey all,
After lurking on the boards for a while I decided to register and try to contribute. Im giving this a shot, to see how big of a wet green thumb I have Ive got a 15G w/ 2x 15w GroLux bulbs. 2L DIY CO2 -> airstone -> tupperware bubble collector I can grow cabomba like no other... it doesnt look like it now, I just did a massive replanting and pruning. The plants: Cabomba Hornwort Banana Plant Green + White Acorus? A Val? and 3 other mystery plants. Current inhabitants are a Blue Ram and an Oto Cat. Also dealing with Cyano and hair...

Nice. I like that driftwood. Your wisteria looks healthy. I can not wait to see this tank when in regrows and fills in a bit before the move. I am however wondering if the acorus is a bog plant or not. I am thinking it may be but I could be wrong. Does anyone know? I think it is not fully aquatic.

I had no luck with my Acorus under ideal conditions :-( It just melted away. Keep an eye on it if you can.
Other than that it's a great start. Fill-in should start to happen soon :-) |

You are right... the Acorus doesnt do so well fully submerged from all that Ive read. Which would explain why its not doing so well

Thanks! After buying a plant encyclopedia, I looked, and it is indeed an onion plant. The Acorus will be coming out shortly due to the fact it keeps dying... At this point, I dont care if my tank is ulgy or whatnot... I just want to try my hand at different plant requirements and see if I can get em to grow!
