Should I get another plecostomus ?

I have a 72 gallon set up. I had a brushy nose that did a great job but ate my swords. I didn't really feed him much else though. I have SAEs, shrimp, snails etc. I have noticed in the few weeks that my brushy nose has been gone the leaves of the swords have algae. I'm considering getting a brushy nose again....but feeding him veggies more consistently this time. Any thoughts on if what I'm doing is insane?

I might were it me go with otocinclus, for they are less likely to cause damage to leaves while rasping on them to clean away algae.
Your sword's look very nice/healthy.

what a nice display of different sword plants you have. My suggestion is based on personal experience only. I have about 10-15 amano shrimp in my tanks. I hardly ever see them but I know they are there because I rarely see algae. I love pleco still but honestly I think getting 10-15 amanos in your 72 gallon tank would be a far better algae control plan than another pleco. Amano's don't create near a fraction of the bioload (poo etc) that a pleco does anyway.

Ha! I have maybe 20 Amanos and thousands of little cherry shrimp. The only algae I get is on the bigger swords.

While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, John and his friend Sally both spotted a dalmatian inside of a truck with sirens. The animal with John and Sally is a _ _ _?
