Check with Uncle Bills (Indianapolis area). Every so often they have a $1 per gallon sale up to 75G.

I have a 75G but am thinking about upgrading to 110G, just can't find the same $1/G deal anywhere. LOL

I just bought a 30 gal long last night at a local fish club meeting. It was the deal of the year from what other members told me. It went for $13 in the mini auction. The deal consisted of the tank, stand, light, lid, heater, filter, and air pump.

No, but then again I haven't been in the club very long. I think this is just the second time I've seen a tank at one of the auctions.

Wow sounds like you guys have been getting some good deals, I also found a 28 gallon tank on craigslist for 10 bucks, it was listed to be a 19 gallon tank. Oh and snoz0r im glad the people at specks could hook you up, they seem like nice people.

From the few times I've been in there they've had some very good deals.

On this particular occasion they were having a sale on the 29 gallons, but it had expired on the 31st of last month, but because I found one hanging out with the sign still on it, they gave it to me anyway.

The one deal that I missed that I really wanted was a 55 gallon tank and stand combo that they had for the low $200's, it was a steal but I just didn't have the money at the time.

They had a good selection of rainbows in terms of species but in one tank that had some celebes and boesmani's in a tank with yellow lab and other cichlids with juvenile red belly pirahnas as well.... WTF?! As you can imagine their fins were tore up to shreads. They did have some nice threadfins on the other hand and a few other notable fish, but I guess from from i'm used to, not the kind of selection I would generally choose from. I guess i'm just used to the rarities and good variety from my LFS in NJ.

I still need to check out some other stores however in the area, so we'll see. Crimson, perhaps you could direct me to some stores closer to the brownsburg area?

I believe I saw a Pet Jungle or Safari or something of that nature on 36 in Avon? Maybe I was mistaken...

Petland in Carmel/Westfield (off of st rd 31) has a pretty good selection of fish. The last time I went there, their plant selection abslutely sucked. THere were decaying plants in the tanks which were overran with algae.

The Reef (56th and Keystone) has been going through some changes within the past few times I was there. They are adding in more display tanks and getting their plant selection back in order.

Members of the CCAC get discounts to specks, the reef, and a few other places here around town. Personally, the discounts alone will quickly pay off the yearly 20 bucks membership fee.
