Hi
I have heard of people buying eco complete here in MN, but I can't seem to find any around my lfs. Where could I find some locally. Or maybe even black flourite. |

You probably will have to buy it online. Spend the time to look around various sites because some will give you a MUCH better deal on shipping than others. Flourite will probably be easier to find in a lfs than eco-complete, but probably not black flourite. Petsmart has regular flourite, at least on their website.

Yeah, petsmart has flourtie but it's quite expensive (over $27 after taxes). Aquariumplants had them for 19.99 shipped for flourite. More importantly, I don't like regular flourite. I'm looking for something black and local if possible.

I imagine you won't be able to find eco complete any cheaper locally...I think most of the times I've seen it, it is around the same, $25/bag or so. Someone mentioned finding the Fluorite Black at A Wet Pet? But I'm not sure on that. I'll be up that way tomorrow...so if I see any...I'll let you know

14860 Granada Ave
Apple Valley, MN 55124 (952) 432-3474 I believe that is the correct information anyway, I've never made it there myself yet. |

Here is what my research today yielded...I'll post not knowing whether or not you found what you were looking for yet. I didn't see the black fluorite yet, however I saw eco complete. Since your profile says you live in Minneapolis, I'm going to guess Richfield isn't too far off?
Aqualand - on Chicago Ave in Richfield...they had 1 bag of eco complete. Priced at $29.99 Something Fishy - on 66th in Richfield...they have several bags of eco complete, $24.99 World Of Fish - on 66th in Richfield...they had a few bags...but eep...$37.99. Forest Lake Pets had lots of bags too, but they are a bit north of the cities, up 35, a little bit past where E and W join again. $24.99. Hope this helps, I'm not sure how far Richfield is from you. |

Speaking of lace rocks, did you happen to find any? Where do people in MN go to find their rocks! Local yardscape stores?

We got a piece at SomethingFishy and a piece at Aqualand but wow...rock is expensive. I know a lot of people have spoken of getting their rocks at landscape places...but I don't know of any. Definitely interested in knowing if you find a place that has a good deal on rocks.
