Hi just when you think you have seen it all...
Please help me identify disease... sorry camera bateries now realy dead... My dwarf gourami got this white spot on the side jest a litte bit behind the head... about 5 x 5mm and his one gill seems swolen to the point where it is now sticking out below the gill cover (it also seems quite thick). The white mark is just like a decolouration... no bumps, depressions, or fungal threads... He seems to behave pretty normally otherwise... have been treeting with tetra antifungus for a week now, made no diffirence... I have not introduced any new plants or fish for months. I see one female gouramio seems to be catching something from him as well... she has white cloudy patches over both eyes.... Any suggestions... ? That gourami is my main breeder... don't want to wait for the little ones to grow up first before I can have more...

Nope not velvet, familiar with it... the tetra stuff clears that right up...
Followed the link, found 2 possibilites Costia and Chilodonella , both of them requires Acriflavine (trypaflavine), which can sterilise fish... does anybody know under which brand names these are sold...
