Movie Review: Signs

Before I start this just a forewarning. This may contain some spoilers. So if you want to see it just read the first part called Rating. Otherwise read the whole lot!

RATING

Overall I would give Signs a 9 out of 10.

The acting was spot on and each character played their role excellently. Well apart from Phoenix who I didn't feel did the best job on a few parts.

The story line only had one or two slips which I will explain later. It was well written and kept you guessing/wondering the whole way through. I dont' know Shyamalan has some way of making things that shouldn't be scary unbelievably scary. Some parts of the movie really make you jump yet there is no blood/guts or any of that.

I thoroughly enjoyed and is probably the best movie I have seen in a few years.

Opinion on different things:
Well first off the main slip in the story.

Okay so there are these aliens. And they want to take over the world so they can harvest us humans right? But then we find out that water kills them!?!?!

So what are they going to do with humans who are like 90% water?????

Also then as a friend pointed out quite early in the movie before you knew whether it was a hoax or really aliens they show Spaceships that are not ours. So pretty far from the beginning you know that aliens are responsible for the crop circles. I think it would have been much better if they held off telling you what it really was for awhile longer.

Anyway I would highly recommend seeing it. It was definately worth the $6.00

i agree that it's a great movie, but i have to say that i think that mr. pheonix did a great job in his role. but i may be a little bias as i like his acting in general.

and as a side note, i wish a movie was $6! it's $9.50 here...

WEll It is normally $8.00 but if you have a student ID they get $2.00 off the price. So it works out nice!!!

I liked the movie a lot but I thought it was going to be scarier than that, I actually thought it was more funny than it was scary. I would not go see if for $9.50 though, here its only $5.00.

I thought it was really good, too! Steve just HAD to go see it, and I'm like, "*sigh* This movie's gonna SUCK!" but it was really, really good! WOW! The aliens were shocking. It was GREAT!
