Invest in a RO/DI unit depending on how hard your water is. Discus are vert sensitive fish demanding only the best water chemistry.

The API Master Test kit is one of the most frequently recommended items. It is based on liquid reagents, carrying it on a plane might be a problem.

Dip stick tests are dry, and there would be no problem at all shipping or carrying them on a plane either in luggage or as carry on. There are 5-way and 6-way strips that test
Nitrite, Nitrate, GH, KH, pH and chlorine. There are separate tests for ammonia.

I find the best prices at pet/aquarium sites like Drs Foster and Smith or Big Als.
At one time I know Big Als would ship to Canada, I do not know about to Italy. But if your friend can get them to you that is not an issue.

Have you looked at what might be available in Germany? Somehow I think they may have a lot of good aquarium supplies.

What size is your tank? (liters and dimensions)

Discus and Angels are both fish that grow quite large, and a large tank is needed to keep them. 200 liters or so, perhaps a meter long, half a meter deep.
