I have a fluval 104 sitting here unused, and I really am dying to get it going again. I have an aquaclear 200 on my 33gal so I'll probably run both aquaclear and fluval, since the 104 is only recommended for up to 25gal.
I'm wondering how many of you think that the 104 would be enough for a 33gal planted tank on its own though (specs say up to 25)? Thanks --cich |

Fluval 104 has 125 gl/hr output. If you don't have many fish, it would do just fine. I personally like something bigger than that though. I usually go for 5x-8x the tank size depending on the fish load.

OK I'll run them together for now with the aquaclear turned down, but I know that I can at least pull it off if I need the AquaClear elsewhere.
Thanks! --cich |
