bump. 5% off all tanks. 10% off if you buy more than one tank.

by the way, I am pretty confident that my regular price, even without the discount is well below any other store locally or online. some of the tanks aren't even available through most other places, like the 24"x24"x12" square mr aqua tanks. I think they would make an amazing looking riparium!

Help me get rid of these tanks so that I can move and get more!

I would LOVE one of those... the question is.. do I have a rack for it?

lol--
there are a lot of pre-made racks that are x24" in one dimension

I think it might look too nice for a rack. I would build a modern looking pedestal stand instead that's flush with the tank

I know! But none of mine have space.

I agree though, custom would be nicer.

Using the 17g tank as an example, Marine Depot's base price is lower. If you add the cost of shipping, their prices are hard to beat.

My LFS's Mr Aqua prices are roughly $5 more then Marine Depot's prices, no shipping, and they can order any not in stock tank with a 2-day delivery.

The ADA's price for 60-P is the same as your price for Mr Aqua.

Maybe that's the reason?

Wow it's good to see the ADA prices finally go down. I hadn't been on top of that because AFA wouldn't return any phone calls and ADG folded.

I actually have the ADA 60P and the build quality is better on the Mr Aqua. I complained that there was a scratch on the top edge of the glass and they told me that's under their standard tolerances. Mr Aqua on the other hand would just send me a replacement no questions asked.

ADA products are lowering their prices in response to Mr Aqua. Good to see competition working. That said, cost to manufacture for the 60P hasn't changed and yet they dropped their price by nearly half. Makes you wonder. Comparing them side by side I still think Mr Aqua is better. By the way, the last time I tried to check out something through AFA's website like the 60P, they tacked on $30+ for shipping to MA. They're the classic example of sites that have low upfront prices to draw people in, and then the cost is just hidden away somewhere else.

By the way my price includes the mat whereas MarineDepot does not

So, no more emperor tetras? Do I have to wait for H4N's to breed?

Price for 60P has not changed in over 2 years as I have an invoice from AFA going that far. My guess that shipping from aquaful to me in CA will not be lower then $30.

Besides 60P and 120P, I currently have 4 Mr Aqua's tanks. My journals have close-up pictures of silicone work, edges, and glass on those tanks and comparing that to ADA is a long stretch, imho. My latest Mr Aqua 18" cube has at least a 1/4" of thick silicone all around the bottom of all 4 panels.

The newer ADA tanks have been hit or miss in terms of worksmanship.

I have a few older ADA tanks and a few newer. All 3 of my older ADA tanks are close to perfect off the line, with some wear from normal use. The new ones I have on the other hand have some silicone/scratches on the rim when I got them. Maybe it was from shipping, but doesn't explain silicone.

The Mr. Aqua tanks are pretty nice too. I love how they offer them in pretty unique dimensions right off the line. I would do a few small Mr Aqua nano work desk tanks and love a large 120P+ size ADA tank.

Aquaful's prices are more than reasonable. Anthony has good tastes in the newer and clean looking aquarium stuff. If I needed more tanks, I wouldn't hesitate to drive over and bother him.

Mr aqua actually has a 120P sized tank, that is not low iron glass. I had two for sale but ended up using them because nobody wanted them

OVT: It's a lot easier for west coast people to get Mr Aqua tanks. They come out of Whittier. When I order stuff from Mr Aqua freight is usually $250-$400. I think you guys will always be able to get the same or better prices than the east coast. Despite the freight cost I am selling it at roughly the same prices as you guys so.. I think it's fair.

As for ADA prices. ADG was selling the 60P for $200 as far as I remember because that's how much I was allowed to sell ADA for back when I carried it. AFA does stuff differently.

I can still order from SEgrest. If you want to commit to some emperor tetras I can include them on my next order
