Shrimp Highway: Two 5.5 Gallons Connected by Glass Tubes

For my current DIY project i connected two 5.5 gallon aquariums together with 38mm glass tubing in a triangle shape in the middle. The tanks have been drilled for a ten gallon sump utilizing a bulkhead overflow tube with shrimp screen mesh for the intake and currently waiting on lockline and flare nozzles for the return. I am actually waiting for the stand light and ada substrate as well. This tank measures 36" exactly in length with the tubes being 4" in length between the aquariums...not counting the amount needed to stick through glass on each side. The projects goal is to create an iwagumi stone side and then a rolling hills meadow look on the other tank. Essentially sending the shrimp out to pasture so to speak.
I will be running a finnex ray 2 36" on top, pressurized co2, ro/di water with auto top off to the sump as well as mosura mineral plus in order to bring the TDS back up. I have to warn you this is a work in progress as most materials are still coming in however I think this is a good example of why fish bridges should be integral and not up and over.

Flow tests have shown a very nice pattern between the two tanks and the second tank receives a nice flow as the water moving through the tubes acts as an accelerator to keep dead spots from forming. The tubes were sealed with silicone and are currently being redone on the outside for better bead but are water tight and held water for several days with flow no problem.

Enjoy and i will try to keep this updated as materials and products arrive.
Happy Labor Day!

Pictures are dead, also ray2 will cause problem in tank, that much lighting since you are going co2 means ferts for the starving plants or have to elevate it a lot. Fert+Shrimp not very good, go with a Satellite+.

Img working now.

Security Question
While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, John and his friend Sally both spotted a dalmatian inside of a truck with sirens. The animal with John and Sally is a _ _ _?
