Hi my first attempt Aquascape

Hi i am having a go at aquascaping my Juwel trigon 190 corner tank. I have had fish for 10 years but never had much thought of aquascaping until a month ago i saw some beautiful aquascaped tanks which got me thinking. I want a aquascape/planted aquarium if possible.

At the moment i am hardscaping my tank but i driving me insane. i could do with a second opinion if it even resembles a aquascape. All these golden ratio etc are confusing me a little and with it being a corner tank i think its making it difficult.

This is my tank currently after today scaping.

Looks pretty good Seems it just needs some time to grow in. Maybe a few smaller rocks/driftwood at the edges of the tank? Might help break it up a little.

Thanks for the comments, i am planning on getting more plants soon. Its a low tech tank no Co2 so was think anabuis nana for some of the rocks, more moss maybe the flame type already got weeping moss on the redmoor. Elatine hydropiper ( unsure if it will grow in my tank ) and some vallisneria for the background and hopefully some more plants.

Black background also, i did have black bin liners as a temp but the reflection was really bad, will it do the same with the normal vinyl stuff?

I am think of also graveling all of it but for a sand path down the middle front to back.

Pity the photos dont do the Rocks any justice. they have great texture. Maple leaf rock if anyone interested

Good placement. That tank will give you a lot of options to fill in with greenery.

What do you have for light? Filters?

Time for more plants!

Hi the tank is bob standard from when i bought it. The filter is - bioflow 3.0 with a 600 pump. The lights are 2x28 watt T5 lights so i think it comes under the low tech bracket. I was think of trying some reflectors for the lights do they make a big difference?

I have ordered some more weeping moss and 2 anubias nana for now.
I did a bit more yesterday, made like a path up the middle and added some gravel bottom left, but i am a bit unsure about the colour dont know if i should of tryed a dark brown or black.

ignore the floating anubias and java fern i dont know what to do with them yet.

Not being critical, just wondering because that water looks yellow-ish. Could be the white setting on your camera.

Nice hardscape! Love how branchy that tree is. Some moss on that would look nice

Thanks the wood is called Redmoor it was bigger piece but i been cut bits off and glued ( aquarium safe glue ) some of it back onto the wood, most of the section on the left is all glued on. Cost be a fair bit as well 65 which is about $110.

It took months for it to sink and it tainted my water brown even after submerging and boiling it for ages .
