TruAqua 8.6 Rimless "Two Peaks" First Iwagumi!

Hey Everyone! This is currently my third tank in my room which is my first iwagumi attempt. For this tank, I will heavily rely on the use of plants to create a sense of depth. The tank is relatively narrow which posed a challenge. Please let me know what you guys and girls think!

Tank Specs
Tank: TruAqua 8.6g with black vinyl background
Stand: Biocube 29g Stand
Light: Finnex FugeRay Planted+ 20inch
Filter: Eheim 2213 with Lily Pipes
Co2 Injected: 20lb Tank/Aquatek 6 Outlet Regulator
Substrate: ADA Amazonia 3L Powder & Normal, ADA La Plata Sand
Hardscape: Seiryu Rocks
Flora: Still TBDHC Cuba, UG, Riccia, Mini Pellia, Fissden Fontanus, Mini Xmas
Fauna: Either Taiwan Bees or a small school of CPD's

February 6, 2014: Rescaped, Planted HC, Hydrocotyle Japan, and Riccia... DSM officially begins!

February 2, 2014: Tank vinyled and Hardscaped!

DSM = Dry Start Method. Its a way to grow plants emersed so they have a better chance to root and grow more voraciously in comparison to immersed growth. I prefer DSM to flooding my tank in the beginning because I want my tank to grow in lushly!

UPDATE!

Thanks to John Simpson, I received a great amount of HC and Riccia! More plants are currently on its way to my house but I went ahead and planted what I received so far! I also rescaped my tank a bit which I believe gives it a little more depth!

Old Scape...

New Scape!

Plants added!

Top down shot showing the layout of the plants: HC dominating the front middle, Hydrocotyle Japan back left (subjected to change to possible Reinekki Mini), and Riccia under wires for the back left and right!

Coming into my room through the door...

All the tanks I own! CRS 20Long, 40Br, and my new TruAqua!

Might change out the hydrocotyle in the back left corner... any suggestions for what to put there?

i'd put some starougyne or downoi in there instead of the hydocotyle. also good luck with the riccia, that stuff is really messy. but the scape looks awesome!what are you going to use for filter? some ember tetras would look awesome in that especially with the black back ground.

^ good point on the downoi or repens! I do have both plants going in my 40br so the swap will be easy! I never grew riccia before and I know it attaches to things pretty easy, but I was hoping that it can grow so I can trim it to shape the mountain a bit. Just trying something new. As for the embers, I have them in my 40br, so I also want to try something a bit different. I was thinking either doing a Bkk/blue bolt tbee tank or possibly pick up a really nice betta. As for the filter, I already have a 2213 which I should start cycling.

I may put the downoi to replace the hydro!
