New to plants.

Hello everyone,

I have been keeping tropical fish most of my life. Mostly cichlids and catfish and have had great success with breeding them.

My biggest problem is trying to grow plants. They start out great and grow for awhile then start dying back. After I moved I lost a lot of my Vallisneria. Before the move this plant was growing like mad. I don't use any fertilizers or supplements in the water just lighting.

Here is a list of plants I have tried to grow and still have.

Gracilis (Anubias gracilis) low light plant.
Congensis (Anubias ‘Congensis’) low light plant.
Vals, Jungle (Vallisneria gigantea) med to low light plant.
and a species of Potamogeton that I just got last week.

Thanks for your time.
Chris.
