antibacterial fish meds for cyanobacteria?

I was wondering if any anti bacterial for fish diseases can be used to kill of blue-green algae? (cyano-bacteria)

Yes i know, i was looking for this in the pet shop i work for but i couldnt find it so thats y i was wondering if a generic type of anti-bacterial would work.

I thought you said you blacked out the tank yesterday??? Well, if you're this set on medicating, have at it. Just make sure to test your ammonia and nitrites for a few weeks after to make sure your biological filter is still intact.

yah i did black it out. i made this thread before i ever made up the decision to do so.

Erythromycin is a generic and common antiboitic. It works on fresh and salt cyanobacteria. Look any another fish store for it or ask the first store to order it for you. It usually comes with between 6-10 capsules per package each on can treet 10 gallons. I think I used to treat a couple doses in salt tanks.
