I just got a blue ram, but also saw bovarian rams, and wild rams....wild rams were yellow...bovarian were nondescript....any other differences anyone knows of?

I doubt that the xanthic form (yellow ram) that you saw were wild. It's basically a genetically induced form bred by commercial means. Other than the difference in the coloration, there are basically no difference with the xanthic and the blue rams.

The Bolivian rams, on the other hand, do not get as colorful as the blue rams. Most of the coloration is confined to the finnage, where hints of blue and red predominate. The borders of the dorsal and caudal fins are fringed by a beautiful red accent and the tips of the caudal fin itself is elongated. Overall the body of the fish become emerald green with hints of red.

Overall, the Bolivian ram is a bit stockier than the blue/gold ram and also less colorful (their beauty is a bit more subtle). General husbandry for these three are about the same.
