if you have a petsmart near you they usually have some in a few of the tanks (or nearly all in my petsmart's case)...when i go there for fish i just ask if i can have a few and they drop them in the bag for free since they view them as a pest. all you need is five or six and your set for life

I recieved some from a man in Dyer, In. Very small 2 or 3 of them, I have yet to see any of them and it's been about 2 months even at night after lights have been out for quite some time. Anyway there is a petsmart in Hobart and in Schererville, I will ask them next time I go in.

I tossed about 10 in my tank and 5 months later there were hundreds. Now a year later there are probably thousands. Give it a little time.

Find anyone with a planted tank around you and they probably have hundreds in their tank. I'm not going to mail any in this weather, but if you're ever in Lafayette I'll give you a cup of them for free.

I'm the guy that gave him a few. I had an overpopulation, added assassins and by the time I saw his post could only see a few babies on the glass.

To start growing some for my assassins, I got a 10 gallon and pulled any I saw into it. They are growing bigger. Eventually, they'll start breeding. If you're still having no luck by the end of April, hit me up again. I think I will have more and larger ones by then.

On a related note, if anyone needs assassins, I have too many.

While it makes perfect sense, I didn't know assassins would take out MTS. I've seen them jump ramshorns and pond snails frequently, but never seen mine take on a trumpet snail. I have a tank that needs its trumpet snail population thinned (well fed shrimp tank) so I'll try moving some over.
