It looks almost too symmetrical to me. The plants, however, look very nice and healthy.

Update: Removed the Rotala indica that was in the back right corner and replaced it with the Crypt spiralis and also added 3 Crypt balansae (not visible yet) behind the star grass.

Hi Roy,

I think your tank looks good and I really like the rock layout, but IMHO it still looks a little too symmetrical. I know you've tried moving things around quite a bit and I'm by no means any kind of an expert, but I played around in PS with the last picture you posted and this is an idea I came up with if you're interested.

Well, you did all the hard work I just moved some stuff around

I put Myriophyllum mattogrossense across the back on the right side with Rotala rotundifolia running just in front of it. The only other thing I did was move your Nymphaea lotus var. rubra(?) from the right side to just off center.

Does this plant do well with a DIY co2 unit? I can't seem to get more than 10ppms of co2. I think i need to get a new filter. The Aquaclear HOB is causing alot of surface movement.

That's a good question. I really don't know. I got them from a Landscape supply co. in Phoenix. It was mixed in with alot of other types of "river rock" When dry they have this smokey gray color to them.

They're doing good in my 28 gallon tank with a couple of Nutrafin CO2 DIY kits.

They both like bright light though.

Both plants should do well in your tank. They are both very weedy in their growth habits and should fill in the space quickly.

BTW that was a really neat way to show someone the potential of their tank (to the person who did that for Rbedeki).

Try topping up your water level so it's slightly over the lip of the filter outflow...
