Looks great, I also really like your rock layout. Now that you have taken the sword out what are the plans for the middle? Are you going to keep it low with the sides high? I liked the sword in the middle, but I agree that it may have become overpowering.

Tony, i really don'y know what im planning on in the middle. I think i'll let the baby tears to grow out in the middle and right sides. I think i'd like to see a red plant somewhere but i really don't know where.
I plnted the wisteria in there only to help combat hair algae. Now that the algae has cleared up I might replace it. |

Well for now i planted a Dwarf Lily bulb in the middle. I didn't like the way it looked in another tank. We'll see how it grows out in this layout. I really like the way the Rotala rotundafolia is growing in this tank. I added another small rock in the middle portion of the tank. It shouldn't take long for it to look like the others. What do you all think?

Interesting thing about this layout is that the rocks form a natural shield/wall over which the plants can't grow. VERY effective visually. Keeping the plants in front nice and low is a great idea, and when the plants in the back grow into curtains, it'll just get better.
Great job! |

Those left over rocks will be just right for another tank!

Awesome layout! I really like this tank, I would just add some tall background plants to fill the middle area. Maybe Rotala 'green' or Myrio. matt. 'green'...

I REALLY like the tank, although with that lily planted smack dab in the middle, it makes the tank look very symmetrical to me (like a mirror image. Is there another spot for the lily? Maybe on the far righthand side just behind that small green bunch?

I think the lily might work well once it grows in a little to break up the background some. I don't think you would want a solid wall of stems all across the back. I agree that adding something different in one of the corners might help break up the mirror effect. Overall I think it looks really good.

Here's an updated photo. I moved the Dwarf lily bulb to the right side of the tank and added a Crypt spiralis and 2 Crypt lucens.
