Things are growing fine, except I'm having some algae problems at the moment
Lets hope that clears up

Nice chunk of wood you got there, everything looks like it's growing nicely. Is that a type of sword plant that is going to stay small? I hope so, I have one that likes to overpower a 30 gallon tank.

Yup, thats a dwarf sword

Heres a baby cacatuoides in the tank that hatched ~3 weeks ago

Heres the dad in the tank

And heres the bunch of java ferns growing on the wood
You can barely see the mother plant as its covered with baby java ferns all over it. I like the way it looks like that so I dont bother picking off the baby plantlets

Looks really nice...looks alot larger than a 10 gal. Whats the tank specs, light, filter...

Standard 10G tank
12"x20"x12"
26W PC from ahsupply.com
Using a whisper power filter 30 (a lot stronger then i need but it cleans nicely)
Also using a aqua powerhead 201 for more circulation
No co2, recently started using excel 1ml/2 days
As for the other nutrients, i haven't really gotten it into a steady cycle yet, Just trying to keep it at .5 for phosphorus and 5 for nitrates
Dosing flourish, iron, and potassium at 1ml/week
and lights on ~10-12hrs/day
Heres if you want to see my 29G and 10G together
You can see the size difference easily

You did a nice job with the tank... dont worry about that algae, it should disappear with time.

what color temp is your bulb? I have a daylight eclipse bulb 15w and it looks a bit too yellow, and I have a bulb like 8000 somehting about and it is reddish. I want one that enhances green, would that be 6700k?

Sorry evan, I didn't know anybody replied, yes these bulbs are 6700k from AH Supply

Wow looks awesome. What kinda substrate is that? Also what is your local water like and do you have a list of all the plants?

I'm not sure what type of gravel it was. It was the cheapest gravel they had at the fish store. The gravel is about about 3mm in diameter so its pretty small. Off the top of my head, here's a list of plants in non-scientific names(I have yet to memorize the scientific names):
Dwarf amazon sword
Micrograss on the front right
Rolata Indica all over the back
Java fern on the driftwood and 2 pieces on the front right
some Java moss on the driftwood around the Java ferns
Anubias behind the sword(I forgot which type)
Very few glosso on the front left which is starting to grow bigger and faster with the new CO2

tank looks great.

Beautiful plants, love the apistos. Wish I could find some around me, never seen them anywhere but on the computer monitor.
