Boston aquarium society meeting 12/16 Monday 8 pm - Holiday Party + buckabag auction

Hey guys!

Don't miss this month's meeting! We're having another buck a bag auction! So there will be tons of stuff! For those not familiar with buck a bag, how it works is that the club only takes 1 dollar from every auction. (Usually its a 50/50 spilt) So if you bring a bag of fish and it sells for 10 dollars, you will keep 9 dollars and the club keeps 1 dollar. Because of that lots of people will be bringing stuff. Generally, there are more people selling than bidding, so everything gets pretty cheap.

There's also going to be food! =D so make sure you come and bring plants, fish, shrimps, etc etc =D

It's going to be at the learning lab next to the Boston aquarium. The door opens at 7:30, the event doesn't start till 8 pm. It runs pretty late because there is lots of the stuff to auction off.

Anyone want to buy some HMPKS? My spawn is ready!

Hey, I'll look forward to seeing you guys there. Will probably bring a new Deep Blue 10 gallon and lid, some unusual wood, and other miscellaneous items to the auction.

If any of you guys have shrimp, CPO crays, wild-type sailfin mollies, Bolbitis heudelotii, Hygrophila pinnatifida, or any of the rarer kinds of moss, would definitely be interested.

It was a nice auction this time. Interestingly, rather light on fish and heavy on plants, at least for this crowd, but it was very nice indeed. The A. splendens look great and I'm sure they'll be really enjoyable to watch growing up.

Rich,
See my pm to you, I think you paid a fair price for it.

this gives you a little more idea of what it looks like.

I hope those CRS gets the colony going again. (If the Metaframe tank hadn't jumped up my list of priority )
