Growing HC

Hi guys, I'm trying to grow some HC, but I don't think I'm doing a very good job.

I currently have a 40 gallon breeder with 2 x 96 watt bulbs (one is 12,000k and the other is a 50/50 actinic)

I only have a redsea turbo CO2 for now, and dose 10ml with Flourish Excel daily.

Do I need to do more dosing of something else? OR do I need more CO2?

First off the actinic lights has to replaced. Change them to 6400K or 6700K. LOL

Actinic don't matter at this point. one 96 watts over a 40 gallon is 2.4 watt which is already good enough to grow plants.

Yea, I don't think lighting is a problem at all.

And yes, I purchased it submerged.

I actually went to my lfs today, and they told me to just dose the tank Flourish Excel once a week, Flouris Iron once a week, and Flourish water conditioner once a week. They too have a 40 gallon breeder with HC and some other more demanding plants, and they have great growth with the oxygen bubbles and all. I suppose my CO2 is probably the main problem? I'm starting to dose my tank the same as the LFS from today, so hopefully that helps...
