Good local source for Apistogramma cacatuoides?

Hi TPT-MA,

Looking for a few breeding pairs of Apistogramma cacatuoides. Have sent emails to Uncle Ned's and Unique Aquaria, but wondering if anyone knew of other potential local sources with good non-hormone, non-inbred stock.

Any info appreciated.

Thanks for everyone's time.

I would go with Uncle neds, he had some nice ones last month when i was there. Ive seen them at petsmart lately marked as double reds, but I think they are a different apistos or real low grade ones

Thanks everyone. Will look into both Ned 's and Wetspot for the Apistos.

I bought a pair from neds a month or so back and already have fry. I gotta get up there and grab a couple more females and move the pair plus the females in a bigger tank

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for all the feedback. Going to keep looking. Also, spoke with Ned. Probably making a trip out there as soon as my new tanks are up and running.

Thanks again!

Tattooed,

Will keep you in mind. Starting my 4-6wk DSM now with a planned 1-2wk fishless cycle, so the timing might be perfect.

They are from neds, the price i didnt like to much but they produced quickly and now just need a few more females to expand there population quickly. Ill probally source the other females from somewhere else as to mix up the gene pool. Apistos are a great fish, i have 2 male macmasteri that ive been trying to find females for and it seems impossible. But they are beautiful fish as well.
