Leaves edges turning brown or fuzzy looking...

I need advices as to what to do here. I have just planted some Stauroypen repens. And a "second" section of DHG. It has been about a week. The leaves edges on the S repens are slowly getting darker and somewhat fuzzy looking. I am seeing a bit of diatom algae there too. It looks like I am looking at a potential BBA outbreak on the S repens. Anything I can do now?

My CO2 level is about 35ppm in the morning and by the day's end, close to 50ppm. My ph drops from about 7 to 6.3 in the morning and 6.2 by the end of the day. KH is at 2.5 degree. Right now, I am trying to increase my CO2 a bit more, targeting to 6.1 to 6 ph. For lighting, 78w of T5HO near the front section of the tank and another 2 bulbs T8 strips at the back. Is a 40B tank. Total lighting period is 8 hours for the T8 strips. And 6 hours with both lights on. Dosing regular EI with a small amount of espom salt. Doing 2 60% WC a week.

Now, I am thinking about dosing 2x excel here for a month until the plants are more established. Hopefully, 2x excel can help here. Am I wasting excel here? 2x excel won't kill algae unless for a prolong usage.

Any possibility of a set of macro photos of the problem areas?

Security Question
While balancing on a piece of wood, two inches by four inches known as a 2x4, John and his friend Sally both spotted a dalmatian inside of a truck with sirens. The animal with John and Sally is a _ _ _?
