Eheim 2213 or 2215 on 20 gallon long?

I'm planning to upgrade my current filter (Aquaclear 50) and get an Eheim classic canister filter. My tank is heavily planted and pretty well stocked with fish. I've read a bunch of reviews on these filters but still can't figure out whether I should get the 2213 model or the 2215. I'm thinking that it would be easier to reduce the flow if it was too much so will the 2215 be fine?? Thanks

2215 for 20gallon will be just nice flow without reducing the flow. After adding all the media, you will find the flow just about right.

Ya definitely get a 2215 at least.

I've got a 2215 on my 20L now and it's perfect.

Either one will work, but the 2215 has better flow for a planted tank.

I've got 2213s on 2 different 20Ls. I think they're fine. A 2215 will work, but I think you'll want to dial back the flow some.

I use a 2213on my 12 long but switching to a 2215. It seems to circulate the water for long tanks much better than da 2213

I find the 2215 perfect not too much flow, not too little. I have dwarf puffers and a heavily planted 20L. I don't have to dial the flow down at all. The dwarf puffers aren't pushed around at all by the flow.

2215 for sure. If you have tall plants in back, you will likely want to either use a spray bar, or move the output to the front of the tank.

I used a 2217 on a 20 long. There was quite a long time in between cleaning filter media.
