Dual ramp & led+, why 7% min intensity?

Hi in the guide below it is stated I need to set min intensity to 7% at mininum to ensure smooth ramp up.

http://current-usa.com/ramp-timer-co...lite-led-plus/

I am really not sure what that means, 7% is still too bright for my tank. Can I set it to lower than 7%? What will happen if i set it to say 2%, will it break my led/timer?

Thank you

well technically i think you should be able to set it lower then 7% but like I said they have stated that they have problems of the fixtures strobing at lower levels

Lamiskool is correct. You can ramp it down all the way to 0. nothing will break. Some units have flashed for 2-3 seconds under 7% intensity
