Enough surface agitation?

The only thing that's moving water in my tank is an Eheim 2217 with the spray bar mounted vertically on one end of the tank and the intake hose on the other end of the tank. The highest hole on the spray bar is about one inch below the surface of the water. By looking at the surface of the water near the spray bar, I can see current/movement, but it's not rippling the water or anything. The surface of the water on the intake half of the tank looks completely still. I'm wondering if this is enough surface agitation. I imagine this set-up would be great for keeping CO2 in the water column, but will it be bad for other things? (like breathing fish)

Keep in mind that I have not yet planted this tank and have not done any water tests. Right now I'm just trying to get all the proper equipment set up and operational.

Heh heh heh. I thought you were gonna say that if the lungfish runs out of oxygen he can just climb out of the tank for a breather.
