Well I did it...
I broke down and bought a Digital today...
I picked up an Olympus C-4000 Zoom. I was borrowing a friends digital over the last few months and just had to get one... and actually it was easy...I just told the wife it was for " us " :hehe::hehe:

Now I just gotta figure out how to work the dang thing !
Oh yeh... and then tell the boss I could use some overtime...

Stay tuned... lol

I was trying to convince my wife that we needed a digital camera, even though she wanted an SLR 35mm camera, so for Christmas we ended up getting each other what we wanted. I got my Kodak DX4330 and she got a Canon EOS Rebel 2000.

I can even take video of my tank! Check it out...
Movie Clip of 55g tank

(major 56k warning. File is 1.6 megs. Still can't figure out how to make movie files smaller.)

How long is the movie Sam? 1.6 megs isn't that large for a movie. Also I realized that it is a .mov file. Mpeg allow you to get better quality for a smaller file size.

A side note: I dont' think Tripod lets you share movies.

That is the question that I was also gonna ask you Fender is how did you get the movies into different file sizes ?
My camera also does movies and I shot one and the camera also recorded it as a .mov ...
The file was freekin HUGE !
I dumped it cuz of irritation... but I will try again soon...

How large are the files??? The .mov files. The program you will need to use is TMPGENC. It is an excellent program.
It is ckind of complicated though. Check out VCD Help for some tutorials.
