foam filter pads that come with the eheim ecco

hi all, can i keep the foam filter pads in the eheim ecco..or will they be bad for the planted tank...i got blue pads and white pads...let me know which ones are good and which ones are bad.

There's no reason not to use them. Just don't use the black carbon-impregnated one if it came with it.

While were on the Ecco, how good are they compared to their big counter-parts? I mean with the flow and filtiration? And would it be good to use an Eheim 2250(rated for 250g) on a 75g? It's the same price as the 2028...but with more media and a higher flow, so possibly a better deal?

i cant say anything about the ecco but the 2028 proII kicks... it is so dam quiet you have to check the flow to make sure its running!
