Do shrimp molt even when doing partial water changes ,like 10 percent ,or is that just a myth?

Default shrimp molting

I think they molt quite often when doing a water change but not every time. i think 10 percent can cause a molt sometimes as well yep

So aren't they overstressed when changing water often ,like ,cause of algae problems ,etc?

No, and honestly you should try to do water changes that don't cause molts every time. Things that cause molts in water changes 1) water added too quickly and parameters change too abruptly (temp, other) 2) water used to do water change is lower GH/TDS and causes a notable shift in the tank in GH/TDS-wise 3) water used for water change is more than a couple of degrees colder than tank water causing a drop in temperature.

Those are the main reasons for forced molts after a water change and can kill shrimp by causing them to molt prematurely. Get a drip line, and drip your water change water in, watch your temps, match your params closely (unless altering the tank params intentionally, then just drip slower). Even though my water change water is lower in TDS than my tank, I drip it in slowly (1-2 drops per second) so the shrimp never really notice a change. I change 15-20% once a week. Heck, I've gone through problems with tanks and changed 80% of the water every other day and didn't have forced molts.
