Ok so I just bought my first ever ADA Aqua Soil, so tell me...

So I just finished ordering my first batch of 3l Amazonia Aqua Soil, since I've never given aqua soil any thought in the past, I never cared to research about it. All I know is it's well known for a big ammonia spike in the beginning, and that's pretty much it.

So please inform me about ADA aqua soil, and what else I'll need to make it "work" for me since this is my first time getting some. So because this is the first time getting aqua soil I figured I'd try it out on my Aqueon Evolve 4...

Aqueon Evolve 4

Lighting - 10" Finnex FugeRay LED
Heating - 25w Fluval mini sublersible heater
Co2 - DIY co2 system

Now I know aqua soil is "nutrient rich", but do I still need to follow a dosing regime with it?

I'm not much help but, even if it's a great soil I still toss in root tabs and excel every 3 days.

ADA Aquasoil Amazonia is all I've ever used in my tanks. Ranging from a 20cm cube (2.1gal) to a 60P (17gal), the tanks have been in operation for 12 months w/o addition of fertilizer dosing (exception would be Flourish Excel periodically for algae control). Every set-up is different but for my 5 Aquasoil set-ups, no-dosing required for at least the 1st year. Good luck.
