Can anyone please identify this plant?


I got this from a friend and he didn't know what it was called so before i plant this in my tank i just wanted to know if anyone knows what this is. is this a good plant or a bad plant to maintain. will it overtake my other plants? how tall does it get etc.

+1 on pinnatifida. Grows straight up or sends out side shoots like other hygros depending how you prune it

can anyone give me suggestions as to where i should put this plant in my 120p scape? I'm debating if i should event put it in my tank.

I gave it a nick name "the Velcro of the aquatic plant world" this stuff will root into just about anything, tie it to wood, and it will root, place it near a rock, and it will root to the rock. If you prune it low, it will grow side shoots and spread laterally, trim it up a bit and it will send out side shoots and grow vertically. one of my favorite plants.
