How about Globes and Cylinders?

I have been searching everywhere online for pics of globes and cylinder type of shapes as aquariums to see for inspiration. I wanted to see how they were aquascaped, since I want to use this as a tropical tank with plants.

I purchased an old 4' 1/2" gumball machine that we will be turning into an aquarium. I haven't figured volume out, etc. Just wanted to look at some scapes!

The bottom is a cylinder with clear acrylic about 20 inches tall and the top is a globe that I holds (I am guessing) around 20-25 gallons. They will be run as two separate tanks.

Anyone with ideas, pics, or links?

You can do a search on fish bowls on this site for inspiration but I've never seen a globe that big. Davrx has some interesting ideas if you're looking for something different.

pics of the machine?
you could stick to the globe thing you kind of threw out, make a map in the dirt with the plants creating the land mass, and no plants where the water/ocean is.
could be something as small as your state, to the whole USA if you do it right

otherwise you're pretty limited by height/size of these odd tanks, like I said pics will help get us thinking.
