hagen co2 help

I just bought one. Its been 10 hrs and i still see no bubbles. Does anyone know what could be wrong. I think i did everything right. I added sugar and all the packages that came with it. I screwed on everytihng right. However, do i need to shak up the canister first? Do i need to fill up the tube with water so the bubbles can come out? How often should i see a bubble?

Be patient, the slime inside needs to build-up first!

NO shaking needed IME, just go and re-tighten the cap.

Raul, he says, no bubbles, i.e. he has a leak somewhere and the gas is escaping... alternatively he killed the yeast using too hot water, which I doubt.
