loaches dont eat plants ? i have living proof times 4. i have 2 tanks at home, with clown loaches and 2 at work with clown. no problems.

It could be the rosy barbs. Although, mine don't eat plants so much as they rip certain plants to shreads. At times, they treat microsword like it's angelhair pasta.

Silver Dollars, they will eat plants like ravenous Piranha. A buddy of mine got 3 or 4 Dwarf Vals, Gone with in 2 days. 1 Silver Dollar.

I had a few rosy barbs take out a whole forest of blyxa japonica, after the hair algae was gone. Just nibbled at the edges and pulled! It was 'good-bye' rosy barbs after that!

wow you guys have bad luck i kept rosy barbs in my planteds and loaches. however i feed my school of 8 silver dollars a good two handfulls of plants every 2 weeks as a treat.

Handfulls of plants? How did you keep them from eating your live vegitation?

Can't keep air plants alive so let's try planted aquariums. I probably won't over water these.
