Hello everyone! I haven't been around in a long time. School just gets busier and busier.
Anyway, I finally got around to getting an AM (AB) reactor 1000 for my tank, loads more efficient than my homemade one. I was planning on mounting it inside my tank, but the holding plate and holder for fixing at the aquarium came glued together! I don't need the holder for fixing at the aquarium, and is there anyway to disconnect it, even though it's glued? I got it from big als, and e-mailed them today to see if this is irregular. Does it usually come this way? Thanks! -Tim

Your referring to the round plastic pegs that go through the holes in the unit? They look to me like they should have been able to come apart - but mine were glued together as well and I was unable to seperate them. Fortunatly I am mounting outside the tank.

According to Mike from aquamedic all of thier units which they import from overseas are coming this way now because of slippage.
I have voiced my displeasure as well as the displeasure of my customers a few times on this and he is looking to see if they will stop doing that. He said you can dremel it apart though

Thanks for the replies! When I said I am mounting it inside my tank, I meant inside the tank stand. I'll try dremeling it and see what happens. Thanks again!

Mine is the same way, glued together. Really a bad bracket design on it. :x

I think I'll just screw the part that is supposed to hang on the tank into my stand, I have the perfect place for it anyway. Thanks for all the help!
