Fry protector

Not sure if this is the right place to show this. My 10 gallon I can't put any plants in it that I don't mind being eaten, but need protection for fry in the future. So made this tonight.

Plan was for it to look like the roots of floating plants.

Looks like a spawning mop basically, I tend to not protect my fry, only the strong survive, I have too many fish as is lol, and everytime I save fry there are from the fish I definately do not want more of lol

Default Protecting fry

Endlers generally don't eat their young.( i have not run into any issues as of yet but you want to set up a separate tank for your females or you are going to a million babies before you know it. I have three tanks: an Evolve 8 for my males a 5 gallon planted tank for my females and a 2.5 gallon for my fry. When i want more i just pick a male and 3 females and dump them into the 2.5 gallon for a week and then move the males back the their tank and leave the females till they give birth, then move them back to their tank.

The other nice thing about separating them is that you can selectively breed your endlers

Well selective breeding with prehit is harder and supplying some security is not a bad thing in my view.

The mops are nice for the young fry. If you have never had endlers before you will realize in a few months that they breed like crazy and you will wish they did eat their young. :-) The females give birth every 23 days and the young can breed at 3 weeks.
