Plant #1 is a Cryptocoryne, possibly lutea.

Plant#2 is Java fern. The variety is Windeløv

Hi. I have another question about plant #1. Do I bury the whole thing or do I leave the root structure above the substrate? Is this a rhizome or is it just a more elaborate root system? Thanks

Both can do well with low light and little/no Co2. The crypt is a heavy root feeder and the java fern should be attached to wood or rock and allowed to anchor itself. For plant #1, you want to bury the roots up to the crown (where the leaves start to form).
