can gluteraldhyde go bad over time?


i kinda have feeling my glut solution is not effective anymore. i have this http://www.vimi.lt/products/accelerator/ one which basically is the same excel. i store it uncovered in room temperature. its 6 month old.

could it be it gone bad ?

Glutaraldehyde, ideally, should be stored in an amber glass bottle (protected from light) at 4 degrees Celsius (at least that is how we keep it in the lab).

It is possible that if you have it uncovered and stored at room temperature, it has become less effective with time.
